A woven non asbestos lining consists of brass wire inserted yarns containing a mixture of organic and inorganic fibres like glass, ceramic etc. The woven webbing is impregnated for through saturation with an Oleo resinous binder. Long slow curing with rolling and compressing and a final temperature step cure bonds the material into a dense flexible and strong product with an excellent friction and wear characteristics
Material used for liner must meet following criteria -
Temperature:- Transient temperature up to 380 degree F
Unit Pressure:- 135 PSI max
Friction Level:- 0.35 Dynamic, 0.40 Static
Physical properties:- Maximum Rubbing Speed 2889 ft/min
